Use a Mini Recorder at Doctor's Appointments
Borrow or buy a mini voice recorder to bring with you when you visit the Doctor. This way you can remember what was said in instructions to you about medications, tests and anything else you will forget as soon as you leave the doctors office. You will be able to play it back as many times as you need.

I got my elderly mother one and was told that many places it is illegal to use it. Make sure you ask your doctor first.
