Pre-Address Thank You Notes

To help encourage timely Thank-you cards after a party, Baptism, etc., I began addressing the thank you envelopes while I was addressing the invitations, when the energy level was still high. After the party, it is much more fun to just focus on the thoughtfulness of the gift and then just stuff it into the right envelope!

Good idea!

Anytime our family has a baby or bridal shower, we purchase the thank you notes for the honoree and pass them out at the shower. Each person then addresses an envelope to themselves. Now the new bride or new mom has these already to go and part of the chore of doing thank you notes is done for them.

As a nice incentive for the attendees who are filling these out, when the envelopes are collected one is pulled to win a prize.

I should make myself more clear. We don't pass out the thank you notes, we pass out the envelopes only.
