Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). In a large bowl, combine the beef, egg, onion, milk, and bread OR cracker crumbs. Season with salt and pepper to taste and place in a lightly greased 5x9 inch loaf pan, OR form into a loaf and place in a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish. In a separate small bowl, combine the brown sugar, mustard and ketchup. Mix well and pour over the meatloaf. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 1 hour. Serve with mashed potatoes

I also add 1 cup quick oats and 1/2 cup diced bell pepper. I don't use mustard in my topping, just ketchup and worcestershire sauce, but I will try this.
A favorite meatloaf recipe.
Sauce:
Fry and drain pork sausage and combine with all other loaf ingredients. Pour well combined sauce ingredients over meat loaf and bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour.

Shape ground beef in a loaf. Wrap in foil and freeze. When ready to use, open foil, add Cream of Mushroom soup.
Combine all ingredients thoroughly. Pack firmly into an ungreased pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
My daughter has been wanting to learn to cook and I have tried to find simple things for her to start with. We found this recipe on the Lipton Recipe Secrets (onion recipe soup and dip mix) package and then we added our own twist.
Mix all meat mixture together first, then mix together the sauce. Put meat into large loaf pan and pour sauce over.
Combine meatloaf ingredients, mix thoroughly, pack firmly into a 9x9 inch pan. Combine sauce ingredients and pour over meatloaf. .
Mix the ground beef, tomato sauce, onion, eggs, crackers, salt and pepper, Parmesan cheese and bread crumbs together.
Mix well and bake in loaf for approximately one hour at 350 degrees F. Pour can of mushroom soup or hot ketchup over loaf while cooking, if desired.
Mix everything together. Put in pan; cover and bake at 350 degrees F. until done (about 45-60 minutes).
