Thank You so much! You are a lifesaver! I have had this recipe since I was in high school (we won't mention how long ago that was!) and I have recently misplaced it! I have a boyfriend whom I have never baked these homemade cookies for yet. He has a hankering for homemade chocolate chip cookies and I couldn't possibly make anything but this recipe for him! You are a saint! Thank you so much!

Chocolate chip cookies by Jell-o-pudding.

2-1/4 cup un-sifted all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup butter or margarine softened
1/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 package (4 serving size) Jell-o instant vanilla pudding
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 package (12 oz) chocolate-chips
1 cup chopped nuts (opitional)

Mix flour with baking soda. Combine butter, the sugars, vanilla and pudding mix in a large mixer bowl; beat until smooth and creamy. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture; then stir in chips and nuts. (batter will be stiff.) Drop by rounded measuring teaspoonfuls, about 2 inches apart, onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Makes about 7 dozen. For Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies, substitite Chocolate flavor instant pudding.

If you use butter the cookies are good but with margarine they do not spread so much.

Hi, Candy!

Here is a chocolate chip cookie recipe from the Betty Crocker Ultimate Cookie Book that I've made before...only I tweaked it a little by adding the pudding mix to it. They turned out real good.

The Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookie

3/4 C. granulated sugar
3/4 C. packed brown sugar
1 C. margarine or butter, softened
1 egg
2 1/4 C. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 sm. box instant vanilla pudding mix
1 C. coarsely chopped nuts
1 pkg. (12-oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips (2 C.)

Heat oven to 375*. Mix sugars, margarine & egg in large bowl. Stir in flour, baking soda, salt & pudding mix. (Dough will be stiff.) Stir in nuts & chocolate chips.

Drop by rounded tablespoonful about 2" apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes or until light brown. (Centers will be soft.) Cool slightly; remove to wire rack to cool completely.

4 DOZ. COOKIES

Hope this is what you're looking for.
