Ingredients
- 1 chocolate cake mix
- 14 oz. caramels or 4 oz. tub caramel apple dip
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- 1 cup nuts
Directions
Prepare cake according to directions on package (or use your favorite recipe). Pour half into 9x13 inch pan and bake at 350 for 15 minutes. Melt caramels, butter and milk and mix on low heat, stirring constantly. Pour over baked cake. Top with chocolate chips and nuts. Pour on rest of cake batter. Bake another 20 minutes or until done. Best while cake is still warm. Very good with ice cream. (Using caramel apple dip is much easier than melting caramels).
