Keeping Soup Bowls From Sliding on a Plate

To keep a soup bowl from sliding on the plate I put a paper towel or napkin between the bowl and the plate when I put it in and take it out of the the microwave. This also a good tip when eating soup, especially if you are not eating at the table.

this is the same reason some restaurants put a dab of refried beans under a taco salad on your plate, to keep it from sliding off.

I use the little rubber squares made for opening jars. They work great at keeping the bowl from sliding on the plate and they come in different colors. If you get food on them they are easy to wash and are inexpensive to replace.
