My daughter is turning four in a week. she loves the beach and wants a beach party outside in our back yard. I have supplies and food. I just need help with some do-it-yourself ideas for decorating the front and back yard. we have a large garage, I am fairly crafty. any ideas would be great.

Thanks,
Jennifer - Georgia

Take blue crepe paper and put it at waist level on the walls. Make paper fish and sea weed to make it look more realistic. Put Tan colored paper above the blue and put paper sand crabs, umbrellas, beach towels, sand toys and sand castles to help make the party come alive. Make hawaiian flowers out of paper and put them on the tables or in the girl's hair! (they are very easy, you could find instructions online) let kids build sand castles in a kiddie pool filled with sand, if you don't have a sand box. (you can buy both at Walmart, for a decent price) Make hula girls by tracing your daughter on cardboard and using paint to decorate, hang on the wall or stand up to look life like! Play hawaiin music and teach the kids to hula. Make sure to serve tasty fruit juices in fun cups, like coconuts or tikis (check the party store or even the $ store for cute ideas) Good Luck, hope everything goes great!

Kids come up with the best party ideas! i would have to suggest to make it a hula beach party. you can buy blow up pumb trees and hula skirts, necklaces and other fun party things from a party store or dollar store and they are so cheap! Try making games around the beach as well! got a sand box? go treasure hunting! Use a slip and slide! have all the kids dress for 'the beach'. Anyways, hope yall have lots of fun!
