Layered Pea Salad

Fill large bowl with either 1 layer or many layers (I prefer many)

Ingredients:

  • 1 head of lettuce torn in pieces
  • 1 head of cauliflower, pulled apart into small flowerettes
  • 1 package of frozen peas
  • 1 package of your favorite shredded cheese (I use cheddar)
  • 1 average size jar mayonnaise
  • 1 container of bacon bits

Directions:

Layer the lettuce, cauliflower, peas, cheese, light salt and pepper and put small dollops (about a tsp. size of mayo for each layer. I spread mayo to completely cover the top layer, then sprinkle with bacon bits (some people put bacon bits on each layer). Cover tightly and refrigerate at least 8 hrs. There is no incorrect way to do this salad. Every time I serve this everyone raves it. Also great to take to a potluck!
