Supplies
- Blue/green dress
- seashell(s) glued for bra
- 1 yard iridescent fabric
- 1 copy paper box lid for tail
- 3 yards sequined trim
- pillowcase to cover cardboard tail
- 300 large sequins
- safety pins
- tiara
Instructions
Arrange seashells to bust of dress and glue accordingly. Outline with sequined trim.
Sketch tail outline on cardboard and cut. Cover with old pillowcase. Outline with sequined trim.
Attach large sequins to outside of pillowcase by pinning on inside. Attach tail to inside of dress; slightly above child's feet.
Cover lower body with iridescent fabric and pin to form mermaid body. Outline waist with sequined trim.
Top off with your choice of head decoration. (Olivia chose a tiara since she always wants to be a princess.)
