One thing the worker at wilsons leather told me when purchasing the eraser thing from there (inexpensive here too) is to be sure the suede is DRY! If it is at all damp, you will rip your suede apart!

If you catch the stain quickly enough, a damp towel will take it right out...assuming of course that the the suede has been waterproofed.

Walmart carries a suede cleaning kit and its not very expensive. It contains an "eraser" type thing and a small stiff brush. Erase the stain and then brush. It's worked for me when I spill my morning coffee on my suede slippers. Good luck!
