Bananas Caramel

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/4 cup half and half
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 6 bananas, sliced

Directions

Mix brown sugar, half and half and butter or margarine. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the consistency of mayonnaise. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Arrange sliced bananas in serving dish. Pour sauce over bananas and cool. Spoon topping over banana mixture and chill before serving.

Topping Ingredients

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Topping Directions

Mix sour cream and sugar well. Use as topping.
