Wedding Cakes for Less at Grocery Bakeries |
Grocery store bakeries are a good buy on wedding cakes. A sheet cake with 1/2 sheet cake on top, with decorative flowers in my wedding color, cost $60.00. I purchased a cake topper from a local craft store.

RE: Wedding Cakes for Less at Grocery Bakeries
I agree -- definitely check out grocery stores and Wal-Mart for your wedding cake. Wal-Mart offers a 3-tier cake at a low price, and both types of stores could make cupcakes for a cupcake tower in your wedding colors to save you money! They can also make sheet cakes to serve guests and great groom's cakes, too. Take a few pictures of cakes you like with you to give a good idea of your preferences, and be open to DIY cake topper options like clusters of silk flowers (matching your bouquets, perhaps?) or ribbon to circle your cake layers. Have fun and be thrifty!
