Paint Color Advice for Kitchen with Oak Cabinets and Gray Blue Countertops

We are in the process of redecorating our house. We have painted the living room cathedral gray from Dutch Boy and are purchasing a red sofa and love seat. We need help with our kitchen wall color as it is open to the living room. We have oak cabinets and a gray/blue countertop.
