Re-scan TV Channels When Installing New Equipment

We recently installed a new antenna, the previous one being some 20 years old and falling apart. Well, It was installed and didn't work. I re-read the instructions for the upteenth time, and there, hidden in the small print on the bottom of the page, was the reason. I had to re-scan the channels on each TV

So, before you panic and call in a professional service, re-scan. It may save you a lot of aggravation.

Guess that's why we haven't given up our satellite connection yet. I think I'd die of frustration trying to get Jeopardy on a "multi-scan" day. :P

Rescan once, twice and on and on. Our antenna is fairly new and yet with the change to digital we have to scan a couple of times a day! Wind, rain, time of day etc. all change the reception, it's a bummer. We do get more channels than we did before, but not always the ones we want. So, if you find a favorite not coming in one day, it may come in later or the next day!
