Cookie Dough Brownies 2 Ways

Bake a 13x9 inch pan of brownies (of course you could make a 9x9 inch pan and halve the topping ingredients). Let cool. Then pick your topping option:

Option #1

Beat the following:
  • 1 stick softened butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup flour

Spread over brownies then pour the following glaze on top:

Melt 1 cup chocolate chips with 1 T shortening (or butter/margarine). Pour over cookie dough.

Option #2

Skip the glaze and instead, stir 1 cup or more chocolate chips into cookie dough batter. Spread over brownies.

Option 2 is my favorite because it really gives you that killer good "oh my gosh I'm gonna eat the whole pan myself" flavor. Be warned - THESE ARE AMAZING! Hope you like 'em!

I don't think you cook it cuz then it wouldn't have that cookie dough taste/consistency? There isn't any eggs in it so it wouldn't need to be anyhow. Just my guess from my experiences with similiar recipes. Robbyn in Wis

Sounds really good! How about cooking the cookie dough topping. We need instructions for that part. Thanks, jsham/AR
