Cream Cheese Brownies:

Here is a totally decadent dessert - Brownies covered with cream cheese and chocolate chips! Hey! It's summer- We can walk it off.

Ingredients:

  • 1 German Chocolate Cake Mix
  • 1 Cup Milk Chocolate Chips
  • 1/4 Cup Walnuts (chopped)
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese
  • 1/3 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Egg White

Directions:

Mix the cake ingredients as directed on the box. Spread the mixture on a cookie sheet pan. Soften the cream cheese in the microwave and mix with the sugar and the egg white.

Spoon the cream cheese mixture over the cake batter and swirl around. Sprinkle with the chocolate chips and nuts.

Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

Cream Cheese Brownies II

Ingredients

  • 1 package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp. flour

Directions

Prepare One-Bowl Brownies as directed (see recipe below), using 4 eggs. Spread in prepared pan. Beat cream cheese, sugar, egg and flour in same bowl until well blended. Spoon mixture over brownie batter. Swirl with knife to marbleize. Bake 40 minutes.

One Bowl Brownies

Ingredients

  • 4 squares unsweetened chocolate
  • 3/4 cup margarine or butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts (opt.)

Directions

Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Microwave chocolate and margarine in large bowl on high 2 minutes or until margarine is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Stir sugar into chocolate until well blended. Mix in eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour and walnuts until well blended. Spread in greased foil lined 9x13 pan. Bake 30-35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out with fudge crumbs. Do not overbake! Cool in pan. Cut into squares.
