My 5 yr old just got white out all over our light wood table. After trying water, soap, elbow grease, and various sprays - all to no avail - I did an internet search and found this page. I decided to try the olive oil & vinegar combo - less scary than the nail polish removed. IT WORKED GREAT. The white-out dissolved almost immediately. THANK YOU to whoever posted that great suggestion!

Mix olive oil with vinegar and rub it in with your finger. Let sit for about an hour then wipe off with a soft cloth. Works for me hope it works for you.
