Does any one have any suggestions on removing burgundy colored nail polish from a light blue sweater?

I wonder if that clorox pen remover would work? Does anyone know if it could get out a suede brown off a off white sweater? I can't believe I did this. Thanks

Removing Red Nail Polish from a white fleece 100 %polyester/100% Acetate material

Editor's Note: You can try windex and NON Acetone nail polish remover. Acetone may melt the fabric.

You can remove it by using Motsenbocker's Liftoff #3. We tried it on our cotton quilt and the stain just vanished, like magic!!! You can purchase it on-line or at The Home Depot for about $6. It also works on carpets, countertop and floors, and tile. I removes permanent marker stains as well. It is waterbased and biodegradable. No strong chemicals like acetone. ""

I would first try non-acetone fingernail polish remover. The Acetone type might damage the sweater if it has Polyester in it

Try fingernail polish remover and try to brush it off instead of rubbing it. Hand wash that spot right after and launder as usual.
