Ingredients
- 1 pkg. any red gelatin (3 oz.)
- 1 cup boiling water
- 2 cup thick applesauce
- 1 Jonathan apple, unpeeled and chopped
- 1 can pineapple tidbits (13oz.)
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans or English walnuts
- 2 Tbsp. mayonnaise or salad dressing
- green grapes for garnish
Directions
Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Stir well to completely dissolve gelatin. Cool slightly, then add applesauce. When partially set, put into a 8 inch or 9 inch ring mold. Chill until firm. Chop apple and nuts. Drain pineapple. Mix apple, nuts, pineapple and salad dressing until blended. Unmold gelatin ring on large serving plate. Place fruit-nut mixture in center. Garnish with grapes.
