Clothing Dye Transferred in the Wash?

I have a long black dress with white detail around the chest area. I washed it with dark colours and now the white bits have gone blue. It cost a lot of money and I only wore it once. What can I do to get it back to white. The dress hasn't been dried and I've soaked it in hot water

Try washing the dress by itself with 2-3 Shout Color Catcher Sheets, available in the laundry aisle at the supermarket. Repeat if necessary. The directioms will say use 1 sheet, but I have found 2-3 work better. If the dress is clean, just use plain water. This product has worked well for me. Hope it helps you.

OOOHHH-Girl. Hot water is a No-No! You probably set the stain in now. Never put things in hot water unless it's white, and w/bleach and a fabric safe for bleach. You didn't say what material the dress was made of either.

You could try a cold wash alone w/color safe bleach & color catcher. Other than that -I don't know. Good Luck! : )
