Creme de Menthe Bars

Ingredients
  • 2 cup chocolate graham cracker crumbs (about 15 graham crackers)
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 3/4 tsp. salt, divided
  • Green food color
  • 3 drops creme de menthe candy flavoring
  • 1 Tbsp. solid vegetable shortening
  • 2 cup dark cocoa Candy Melts

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray 13x9 inch pan with vegatable pan spray. In small bowl, whisk together condensed milk, egg, 1/4 tsp. salt, candy flavoring, green icing color and remaning 1/2 tsp. salt. Pour mixture over cooled crust. Bake 18-20 minutes or until mixture is set. Cool completely on wire rack. Melt candy melts according to package directions; stir in shortening and mix until smooth. Spread evenly over cooled cookie mixture. Refrigerate at least 1 hour. Cut into bars. Makes 48 bars.
