Hot Oil Conditioning Treatment

Do you have dull, dry, and course feeling hair as a result of hair coloring? If you answered yes, then I have a tip that might be able to help with that problem.

Normally, just after I color, my hair feels and looks great. But after several washings, my hair becomes dull, dry, and course. When it gets to that point, I like to do a natural hot oil treatment on my hair.

I take olive oil and warm it up in the microwave. Then I pour it all over my hair and rub it in. I then take a plastic shower cap and cover my head. Lastly, I take a damp hot towel (towel that has been soaked in really hot water) and place it over the plastic cap on my head. This helps to seal the heat and really moisturize my head. I leave this treatment on my head between 10-15 minutes.

Afterwards, I rinse it all out, normally shampooing twice and then following with conditioner. My hair feels so much better and looks so much better.

Note: I shampoo twice because I used a natural shampoo. If you use a commercial shampoo, you may possibly only have to shampoo once, because the chemicals in the commercial brands may be strong enough to remove the oily feel on your hair. Hope this helps you!
