Planning a Fundraiser Dance

My cheer squad is hosting a school dance to help raise money for our cheer supplies. We need your help with thinking of themes and money raising ideas for our dance! We are charging 5 dollars admission per person. Any ideas are helpful and greatly needed!

Thank You!:)

Ask various businesses if they could donate an item for a silent auction which you could have at the dance.

Perhaps set aside a non-school weekday and a weekend day where the cheerleaders go to various work places or homes, etc. and give a cheer they've made up in honor of someone for their birthday, like doing a singing telegram only this is a cheering telegram. (Have a rate all set for each type of event and sell these telegrams at the dance.)

Announce 10-15 dance "contests"; each participant pays $1.00 to $2.00 to enter. Appoint "random" judges for each contest; winners get their names posted on a large board and get bragging rights!

Bake cupcakes or mini-bite cakes with "cheer" or school phrases on piks; sell for $1.00.

OR, wrap various candy bars with fun sayings. The candy can be purchased at Sam's or Costco for best prices on a case. Sell for $1.00 each.

Same can be done with cans of soda, bottled water, etc.

As for themes: Cheering Makes the World Go 'Round; Give a Cheer for _____ (name of school or group); 'Tis the Season for Cheers; Summer of Cheers

Good luck; hope these ideas spark some others!
