Craft Projects: Cotton Dishcloth and Plarn Table Centerpiece

Approximate Time: 30 minutes to one hour

Supplies:

• 100% cotton yarn
• crochet hook "I"/ 5.5 mm

For the table centerpiece:

• shopping bags cut into pieces
• crochet hook "E"

Instructions: Cotton Dishcloth

1. Start ch 5. Slip st to join to make a ring.

2. ROUND 1: *Ch 2 (counted as 1 dc), 13 dc into the ring (total:14dc). Sl st tog the top of *.

3. ROUND 2: *Ch 2, 2dc in each st up to the last st. (total:28 dc) Sl st tog top of*.

4. ROUND 3: *Ch 2, skip 1st st, 3dc in the next st, skip another st, 3dc in the next st. Rep up to the last st. Sl st tog top of*.

5. ROUND 4: *Ch 2, 2dc into the same space, ch 1, 3dc into the next space. Rep up to the last st. Sl st tog top of *.

6. ROUND 5: Rep Round 4.

7. ROUND 6: Ch 2, 2dc into the next space, ch 2, 3dc into the next space. Rep up to the last st. Sl st tog top of *.

8. ROUND 7: *Ch 2, 3 dc into the next space, ch 1, 3 dc into the same space, 3dc into the next space, ch1, 3dc into the same space. Rep up to the last st. Sl st tog top of *.

9. ROUND 8: *Ch 2, 1 dc in each st up to the last st. Sl st tog top of *. Fasten off and weave in ends. FINISH.

Instructions: Plarn Table Centerpiece

1. Do step 1-7 of dishcloth instructions.

2. ROUND 8: *ch2, 2 dc into the space, ch 1, 3dc into the next space. Rep up to the last st.
3. ROUND 9: Rep round 6 of dishcloth instructions.
4. ROUND 10: Rep Round 7 of dishcloth instructions. Fasten off and weave in ends. FINISH.
