How do I remove contact paper from windows that have has been on over 5 years?

Other way is to use a razor the kind used to scrape glass top ovens (only on glass windows), and then clean the sticky residue with goo gone.

Use WD-40 on it spray it on the edges and if it tears keep at it till it comes off use a rag to rub it off it is the oil in the can that is taking it off then clean glass with alcohol in a spray bottle all nice and shiney again.

I removed contact paper on shelves with a hair dryer. I held the corner and turned the dryer on low and worked it off a bit at a time. Then I cleaned the residue with Goo Gone. Took awhile but got the job done.
