thats so pretty and out of the box differant than the boring cakes you see with just flowers. you did a wonderful job, pat your self on the back for that one! :) hope you share more pics of the future ones you do. thanks for sharing!:)
what can I say that hasn't already been said? you are extremely talented and do beautiful work
I wish you much sucess
It is fondant, and the snowflakes are made out of royal icing. I just used a pattern that I found (actually, it was a snowflake stamp), covered the pattern with wax paper and used a tip 3 to pipe. I tried bigger ones, but the royal icing is so delicate that they broke so easy. I made about 100, and about 50 lasted!

Very pretty! I love winter, so this would be nice for a winter wedding.
The cake is absolutely gorgeous!! I got married last Jan & our theme was Winter WonderLand. Our cake-and decorations-had snowflakes and snowpeople, which I collect like nobodys' business:). Our cake topper was a handmade ceramic snowman & snowlady kissing.
Gorgeous...is that fondant icing on the cake? Did you make the snowflakes and if so, out of what? I love to make cakes too and decorate them, am always looking for hints.
Thanks for sending this picture!
BEAUTIFUL Liz. Where are you located? I'm getting married at the end of June & I'll be needing a small cake just for me & Bobby since we are eloping.
