Ingredients

  • whole chicken
  • seasoning salt
  • 3 cubes chicken bullion
  • pepper
  • rice or noodles
  • celery chopped
  • carrots finely chopped
  • corn
  • onion chopped

Directions

Remove skin from chicken and boil. (By removing the skin, you are saving yourself a step of removing the oil later.) When chicken is fully cooked, remove from heat and save the liquid. Let chicken cool and remove from the bone and cut into small pieces.

Add chicken pieces back into water. Add chicken bullion and pepper. Add finely chopped carrots and onions. let cook at least 20 minutes. Add celery, rice or noodles and cook until rice or noodles are just about done. Add corn kernels. Add salt to flavor LAST. You may also want to add paprika, depending on your tastes.

I sometimes add water chestnuts as well.
