Cook noodles in salted water until tender. Drain and mix in soup and water. In large skillet, fry onion in butter until clear. Remove onion and cook meat in skillet, stirring to break up particles. Meat need not be brown. Cook until it loses it's redness. Add salt, pepper, thyme and onion. Combine meat and noodles mixture. Pour into large, oiled casserole. Cover and refrigerate overnight. When ready to bake, sprinkle the cheese on top. Pour the beaten eggs over the cheese. Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour; until bubbly.
