Does anyone know where I can get cloth placemats? I want to stamp penguins on them, so that I can embroider them.

Make your own placemats or get the colour of fabric that you want including the batting and the underlay and ask someone to make them for you.Works out cheaper and you'll like them because its your choice.
Thrift stores, Dollar stores, WalMart, assorted department stores often have sales and I've even seen them at larger pharmacies occasionally.
Try Walmart, Target, or just about any second hand shop should have them, such as Goodwill or Savers.
