Think ahead when buying clothes, slipcovers, etc. If you have a black dog or cat, buy dark colors. If you have a white pet, buy light colors. Of course, Magic, my English springer spaniel (pictured here with me and his friend, Lily the dalmatian) is black AND white. So I find that prints and tweeds work best to disguise the dog hair. Be smarter than the dog, I always say!

Great tip! I think I need some tweeds with an orange, black, white, gray, tan and brown. Seems like no matter what color I wear, somebody sheds on me.
