Can Heavy Load Cause a Circuit Breaker to Wear Out?

If a circuit breaker carries a heavy load (80% of rated) for years, can it cause the breaker to "wear out"?

I can safely answer this much the plastic the breaker is made with will weaken and crack under pressure and they wear and become bad and if real old are out of date along with the wiring. Don't put new breakers in a very old box as your wiring may be faulty.

If you know nothing about electricity then you should call an electrician.
