Harlean from Arkansas posted info regarding freezing fresh salsa. My question - how is it once thrawed. I do not want mushy salsa. Appreciate any feedback available.

Use hot water to melt shortening. Cool to lukewarm. Add salt, sugar, beaten eggs and yeast. Add enough flour for a soft dough. Roll them out right away. Spread with butter, brown sugar and cinnamon and set in a warm place to rise about 1 1/2 hours. Bake at 350 degrees F. I bake 10 minutes on bottom rack and 5 minutes on top. Frost with your favorite frosting, if desired.

When I am in a hurry for dinner, I open a can of chili and pour it into a 9x9 inch glass pan. Put cheese on top and make up a box of Jiffy cornbread and pour it on top. Bake until cornbread is done and chili is hot. Add a salad and you've got dinner.

I wait all year to make these! Perfect for our snappy Ohio autumn days. It's really starting to get pretty, now. The leaves are turning after a very long, hot summer.
Ingredients
Directions
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and milk and mix well. Stir in flour, spices, salt and baking powder. Stir in apples, raisins, and walnuts. Drop by teaspoon on GREASED baking sheet. Bake 12 minutes at 350 degrees F. Makes about 3 dozen. These are very moist and tend to stick if stacked. I always use waxed paper between cookies.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Combine flour, oats, baking soda, and salt in small bowl. Set aside. Combine butter and sugar in medium bowl and beat with mixer on medium speed until blended. Add flour mixture and stir until well blended. Mixture will be crumbly. Remove 3/4 cup of dough. Toss with chocolate chips. Set aside. Press the remaining dough into an 8 inch square pan and spread evenly. Top with jam and sprinkle with remaining chip mixture. Bake 30 minutes or till golden brown.

Mix dry ingredients. Cut in shortening. Gradually add milk and stir in pepperoni and cheese just until combined. Drop by tablespoons on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 400 degrees F until golden brown, approximately 15-20 minutes. Serve warm. This is good with a spaghetti dish or sausage gravy.

Roughly chop candy bars. In saucepan, melt candy with milk, stirring constantly over medium heat. Once melted, remove from heat immediately. Stir in cereal. Mix well. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto parchment or wax paper, making about 40 mounds. Cool 5-10 minutes or until cool enough to handle. With buttered fingers, roll mounds into 1 inch balls. Roll in chopped nuts and/or confectioners sugar (these 2 ingredients are both optional).

Cut potatoes in wedges about 1/4 inch thick and 3/4 inch wide. Keep immersed in water until ready to use so they don't turn brown, dry on paper towels and cook in deep fryer (or 4-6 cups oil in frying pan) heated to 350 degrees F, 1 minute. Remove from oil and let cool 10 minutes. When cooled, return to oil and fry an additional 5 minutes or until light golden in color. Drain. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F, arrange fries on baking sheet and sprinkle both cheeses on top. Crumble bacon over cheeses. Bake 5 minutes or till cheese has melted. Serve with ranch dressing
These are my favorite at Cheddar's restaurant so I thought I'd share the recipe with you.
