What Breed is My Dog?

I got Jethro 2 nights ago and he is definitely a German Shepherd, but there is something else mixed in there. He is 3 1/2 months old and his ears are still floppy. I would love to know what he is mixed with. His paws are huge, bigger than any I have seen on a Shepherd. Any help would be appreciated.

He is cute. I can't help but say that he looks a lot like my first terrier mix, Glory. Same coloring and shape of face.

A handsome dog. He looks as if he might have a bit of Husky mixed in there. Mixed breeds make the best, most loyal and loving dogs ever. I have an Akita X with a border collie. She is a dream.

Perhaps Husky? He has a certain look about him. Could tell better if he was standing. Good luck, he looks as if he will be a good dog.

GSD and lab would be my guess. That is from years spent in animal rescue.
Don't worry about his ears. At around 4 1/2 to 7 months his ears should begin to stand up. If the cartilidge has been broken by rough housing then you will know it by the time he is a year. I really wouldn't worry about it unless he was gonna be a show dog. ;)

Jethro is the perfect name for him! I wish you both many, many years together.

Large paws--could be some lab in the dog. Seems like alot dogs who have run tend to have some 'lab' in them! This is Humane Society experience in deciding what kinds of dogs we have.

Although it may be expensive, you can now have your dog D&A tested. I recently saw a show about it. And to most peoples surprise and even their vet, what they thought there dogs were, turned out to be quite the opposite.

I would suggest you wait - GS ears take a while to prop up.
