Vegetable Salad

Ingredients:

  • 1 head cauliflower, chopped
  • 1 bunch broccoli, chopped
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 pepper, chopped
  • 1 cucumber, diced
Dressing:
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup French dressing
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Directions:

Mix all the veggies together. The mix the dressing ingredients and pour over the vegetables.

Vegetable Salad

Was a favorite of my dad's.

Ingredients:

  • 1 can wax beans, drained
  • 1 can French style green beans, drained
  • 1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 green pepper, chopped fine
  • 1/4 medium onion, slivered

Dressing:

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 cup salad oil
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper

Directions:

Mix first 6 ingredients together in bowl. Over the mixture pour the well-mixed dressing ingredients. Cover and let stand 24 hours in refrigerator.

Servings: 6-8
Prep Time: 10-15 Minutes
Cooking Time: 0 Minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 can shoe peg corn
  • 1 can baby peas
  • 1 can French style green beans
  • 1 cup diced green onions
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 1 cup diced green pepper
  • 1/4 cup diced pimentos
Dressing:
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup white vinegar
  • 1/2 cup salad oil

Directions

Drain well the vegetables. Put in bowl and marinate with dressing overnight. To make dressing, cook sugar and white vinegar together until sugar is dissolved, then add 1/2 cup salad oil. Cool and pour over ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 1 head lettuce, torn into small pieces
  • 1/4 cup chopped onions
  • 1 cup water chestnuts, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 package frozen peas, thawed, drained
  • 1 1/2 cups salad dressing
  • parmesan cheese

Directions

Layer first 5 ingredients in order listed in large bowl. Spread salad dressing over layers. Sprinkle liberally with cheese. Chill, covered, in refrigerator overnight.
