Think about a golden yellow, a chocolate brown if the high gloss cabinets are white, or a cream color. If you want some pattern in your kitchen, you could look for a wallpaper border with some brown/yellow/orange in it. You could paint the walls white or cream, and sponge paint over them with an accent color.
