Cleaners Used in Bissell Auto Proheat Carpet Cleaner

I have just purchased a Bissell Auto Proheat carpet cleaner. I notice some of you use vinegar and water. How do you mix it? Also some of you use Awesome which I have, what mixture do you use on it?
