Removing Sharpie from a Painted Brick

I need to remove sharpie from a painted brick. It has been settled for about 5 days now. It is very important that I do not damage the paint on the brick. I've read that the magic eraser does wonders, but I cannot risk the chance of it messing up the paint. Please help! Thanks.

use rubbing alcohol, it will come right off.

Removing Sharpie from Painted Furniture

My friend has a beautiful white desk, but it has Sharpie stains on it. We tried deodorant, hairspray, erasers, water, and soap. Please help me. I need a cheap and easy way to clean them off. Thanks.
