Use Tea to Clean Varnished Woodwork

Bronze Post Medal for All Time! 181 Posts

If you steep old tea leaves in water for half an hour and strain the liquid, the tea is excellent for cleaning varnished woodwork. Put a little on a damp flannel and rub the wood lightly to get rid of finger marks and that dull, gummy look. The same infusion also brightens mirrors and windowpanes.

Nice idea! I will give it a try since I have some old unused tea leaves. Thanks for the tip.
