I used to pay $3 or more for a can of whole peaches that held maybe 5 peaches. For holidays, it would take 4-5 cans to make spiced peaches because everybody liked them so much. Here is an easy and cheaper way.
Ingredients:
4-5 (29 oz.) cans of peach halves
2-3 Tbsp. whole cloves
Directions:
Put the peach halves into a lidded container, with the juice, and add about 2 tablespoons of whole cloves. Let them marry in the fridge for a couple of days. Then the peaches taste just like the spiced peaches and they are much easier to eat and cheaper.
You have to buy a can of whole cloves, but it should make 10-12 batches of peaches for large groups and many more for family sized servings.
