Teacher 310 and Jon Arnold are correct. I have a Sealy king mattress pad and one of the controller failed or the pad has failed. Biddeford makes my controller. You need to look on the back bottom for the controller number. Mine is TC12B0.

All things fail. $20.00 is not a big deal against buying a new pad for $100. Hope it isn't my pad.

choose PARTS. And there will be choices of which controller to order

I seem to be having the same trouble as everyone else. I will not purchase another electric blanket as I have had trouble with another brand also. I now have a down quilt and it is working well.

I just called the 800 number and got a replacement controller for a king size mattress. We'll see if it works! Next time I have to purchase one, I won't buy this brand. These things are not cheap to begin with!!

I have the same problem after reading this I'm not going to bother. I'll buy a new blanket made by someone else.

I have a king size electric blanket and when my controller quit working, I plugged my husbands in on my side. It started smelling like it was burning inside the controller, so I unplugged it. I believe there is a short in the blanket on my side and another control won't help. I emailed Biddeford with the address that was on my owner's manual and it was returned to me undeliverable, so I went online to their site and submitted a complaint and have not heard a word. There is supposed to be a 5 year warranty on this blanket and I have only had it a year. Going back to look for a phone number to call, but not holding much hope for any action.

Some of it might not be the controllers but a short in the blanket wiring itself and the controllers are preventing the blanket from heating to prevent a fire hazard. I've had several of these blankets (and therefore have extra controllers) and new controllers don't always work. At that point, it's just better to buy a new blanket

This "E" problem with SEALY seems to be quite widespread -- what gives? Has anyone reached a satisfactory solution?

I'm having a problem with one of my controllers as well.
Apparently Sealy controllers are made by Biddeford blankets. If you go to www.biddefordblankets.com and go to the "Parts" section, you'll get contact info and parts info. There's a 5 year warranty on the controllers, so if you give them a call and talk to them, they might just send you one out no cost, or $20 (per the website) for replacement...
