What is an Acre?

The unit of measure most typically used to describe land area in the United States. A square 1-acre plot measures 209 feet by 209 feet; a circular acre has a radius of 117.75 feet. An acre is equivalent to 43,560 square feet and is about 9/10 the size of a football field.
