We are looking for CHEAP ways to do the lighting for a middle school sock hop. The dance will take place in the Commons area where the students eat lunch. We would like to "transform" it quickly and easily. Any suggestions?

Holiday rope lights make good party deco. Use it with black tape joints to write a message like Rock On!

What about using Xmas light strands? I'd venture to say that every student's household has several of these available to volunteer the use of.

Each student's light strand(s) can be labeled (at home) with a folded piece of masking tape with their name on it so that returning them to their rightful owners will be easily accomplished @ the end of the dance.
