I recently rearranged my office, leaving a mess of exposed wires of all kinds. I covered a toilet tissue roll with wrapping paper, then wrapped all the wires into a hank and tucked them inside the roll. Cheaper, smaller and more clever than the large and unsightly tube sold at the electronics store for this purpose.

Instead of using a toilet paper roll you could try bundling up the extra wire with a Velcro strap this works the best in my opinion. More information on cheap wire organization solutions can be found at http://www.jonfleck.com/2008/10/11/ ... p-do-it-yourself-cable-organization/
