If you have a dog and need somewhere to store all the empty plastic bags for walks etc. - put them in an empty Kleenex box by the door. They don't get in the way and they don't look bad either. We keep one in the car too for trips to the park.

At the apartment I lived in, we had posts with the doggie bags. I always grabbed two, one to use and one to tie on the leash, and then always replaced it on the leash. It also let me know at a glance when my DH took him out if he pooped, because DH would fall asleep before I woke up (working nights)

I took care of an elderly lady who folded her bags up really small and looped the last handle around it so that it was the size of a medicine bottle. I, too had to master the technique so that I could help her and she wouldn't spend all day folding bags and have been carrying a few with me in jacket and pants pockets when walking the dogs.

Your neighbors 'thank you' for cleaning up after your animals! I wish all would!
