Curtains for a Burgundy Wall |
|
|
I have a long narrow bedroom and want to paint the wall opposite the door a dark burgundy-type colour to bring it in a bit. The other walls will be a cream/stone complimentary colour. However, that is the wall with the window and I am now stuck as to what colour curtains to get. Somehow curtains a lighter colour than the wall just don't seem "right". Any ideas?
Thanks, Narrelle from UK

use cream coloured material to drape across the window then use some plain cream coloured curtains to compliment the other walls !

Try your cream color in sheers. This will give you light which will balance out the sdark burgundy wall.

I had a very similar color scheme in my dining room. We ended up going with lichen green curtains, since they were dark enough to balance the dark burgundy wall, and they set off the green-tones in the area rug and other accessories in the room. It worked well for us - good luck with yours!
