Saving on Birthday Plates, Cups and Napkins |
When purchasing paper products for children's birthday parties, I buy only 1 package of napkins, plates and cups with a theme on them and then a coordinating color for the rest of the packages. It's always cheaper to buy plain than to buy theme party-ware. I also save leftover napkins for the kids lunches. They love getting Superman, Barbie napkins, etc. in their school lunches.

RE: Saving on Birthday Plates, Cups and Napkins
Good idea to mix & match. I usually just buy the theme party napkins & matching solid colored plates & cups. Even white styro. plates & cheaper colored plastic cups looks good w/ theme napkins. Napkins are the cheapest of theme items & we need to buy for a picnic for about 30 people. It always looks great on the picnic table & kids are happy to have their special characters. Of course we have a matching home-decorated cake & theme decorations, thank goodness for scanners & printers!
