Mom's Meat Loaf

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1/2 lb. lean ground pork
  • 2 slices bread, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 can tomato sauce (8 oz.)

Directions

Combine all ingredients except tomato sauce; mix well. Mold into a loaf in a shallow baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour. Pour off excess fat. Pour tomato sauce over loaf. Bake for 30 minutes longer, basting occasionally. Makes 4 servings.
