Holiday: Front Door Christmas Cross

Just wanted to share a photograph of my front door decoration for 2010. We have had this particular door for years and I noticed that it had a "natural" cross in it. Well, this year, I decided that I would work with that natural cross for my outdoor decoration.

I decided to enhance the cross in white and to frame it with dark blue and then add different colors to make it look like a stained glass window. With simple greenery and a large red bow, I feel I accomplished this.

The front door even looks pretty from the street with a spotlight at night. The best part is that I didn't have to buy a thing to accomplish this either. Used construction paper I already had, and greenery and bow that I use every Christmas.

Even though our country's economy is terrible, you can decorate what you can with what you have. And especially, remember the reason for the season.

Happy Holidays to all of you Thrifty Funners!
