Shortcake

Ingredients:
  • 2 c . sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup rich milk
  • 1 Tbsp. melted butter

Directions:

Sift flour, salt, baking powder, sugar. Beat egg, add milk and butter. Then mix into dry ingredients. Mix quickly using not over 20 strokes. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. We always add fresh cream on top and fresh strawberries!
