Shrimp Cream Cheese Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 packages. cream cheese (8oz. each)
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 lb. cooked shrimp, chopped
  • lemon juice
  • salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. Tabasco sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, grated
  • 1 tsp. chopped chives
  • 1 onion, finely minced

Directions

Cream cheese, cream and mayonnaise. Soak shrimp 1 hour in lemon juice. Add shrimp and seasonings to cream cheese mixture. Mix until blended; refrigerate.

Do you whip the cream first? I would think that it would make it too soupy, I make something similar though I use sour cream and less cream cheese along with the mayo and I omit the garlic. I also add some imitation crab to mine as well.
